1990년 8월 청주의 무심갤러리, 서울의 유엠갤러리로 시작되었다.

현재 두 개의 갤러리를 운영하므로 지방과 서울을 연계하며 미술시장의 확장을 꾀하고 나아가 해외 아트페어를 통해 세계미술시장으로의 진입을 목표로 하고 있다.

90년대 단색화를 시작으로 현재는 개념미술작가 1세대인 김구림, 이건용 등의 작품을 전시하며 미술사중심 작가들로 전시를 채워나가는 전문 갤러리로 자리잡고 있으며, 또한 장래성 있는 신진작가 발굴에도 힘쓰고 있다.

Started with opening Moosim Gallery in 1990, UM gallery has opened in 2002. Based on this experience, UM Gallery is a project-centered-gallery which introduces domestic, international artists with variable exhibitions, provides artistic background through inviting artists to join in a prize contest for the best artworks, and aims at art space which let Korean Arts breathe internationally with vigorous participation in art fairs domestically, internationally.

UM Gallery offers public art project, art rent service, art interior design with security of cooperation with enterprises, and also internet exhibition to offer much wider exhibition space for artists accessibly
