갤러리 미는 1977년 개관하여 유망한 작가를 발굴, 후원해오고 있으며 회화, 조각, 판화 등의 전시와 아트 이벤트의 기획 및 국제 전시를 통해 국내 작가를 널리 홍보하고 있습니다.
Christie's 와 같은 유수한 옥션에 한국 작가 작품을 출품하여 이들의 글로벌 진출을 후원하고, 한국 작가들이 국제적으로 발돋움하는데 힘쓰고 있습니다.
2005년에는 작가들의 창작 스펙트럼을 넓히는 시도로서 중국 현대미술의 대규모 ‘Chinese Contemporary Art’ 특별전을 기획함으로써 중국 현대미술분야에 대한 한국작가와 컬렉터들의 인식을 확장하였습니다.
이처럼 김태정, 사공우, 우무길, 박재곤, 중광 등을 대표작가로 선정하여 다수의 능력 있는 한국 작가들이 그들의 역량을 펼칠 수 있도록 최선을 다하고 있습니다.
Gallery Mee was founded in Seoul, Korea in 1977. It has been searching and supporting talented Korean artists and promoting a wide range of art shows and events in paintings, sculptures and prints. Gallery Mee maintains a strong commitment to nurturing Korean artists for them to get global exposures through various international exhibitions and auctions such as Christie's.In attempt to broaden Korean artist's spectrum, Gallery Mee hosted 'the Special Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Art' in Korea in 2005, which was remarkable milestone for opening a gate to Chinese contemporary art for Korean artists as well as Korean art collectors. In this way, Gallery Mee selected representative artists - Tae Jung Kim, Woo sagong, Moo Gil Woo, Jae Kon Park, Jung Kwang and keeps making efforts for many competent Korean artists to represent their abilities.
